Turn by Turn instructions with printed cue sheets and Ride with GPS voice prompts.
Our tour routes were carefully planned and ridden by HBC members to make it the best tour yet! Turns will be marked with chalk, where permitted, on the roadway and there will be a limited number of signs along the route. Separate maps and Turn by Turn directions will be provided. We highly recommend using Ride with GPS links that allow you to use Android and iOS phones for turn by turn audible directions.
29 mile route
This is our classic Tour D'Amico route with two nearly equal legs. There are Quick Stops in the middle of each leg with the rest stop between each leg. The first leg of the 29 mile Tour is mostly flat except for the stretch on Hunter Drive that has a few moderate hills. That will make the rest stop at D'Amico & Sons in Wayzata all the more enjoyable. After refreshing yourself a slightly shorter and less hilly second leg will take you back to D'Amico & Sons in Golden Valley where a wonderful lunch awaits you. This ride is suitable for riders of all ability levels. Most riders should complete this tour in about 3 to 4 hours. Full SAG support.
Rest & Quick Stops
Hydration Quick Stops with bananas, water, Salted Nut Rolls, and Rachel's Potato Chips are located midway through the first and second legs for all tours.
45.5 mile route
This Tour D'Amico route is designed with three legs. There are Quick Stops in the middle of the first legs with the rest stop between each leg. The first leg of the 45 mile Tour shares the route with the 29 mile tour. After the Quick Stop at the Hopkins Depot it separates for the remainder traveling to the D'Amico & Sons in Edina for a second rest stop. From Hopkins to Edina there are a few less challenging hills. Route changes avoid conflicts with the Edina Parade. The third leg is the shortest and is relatively flat except for the hill on Kenwood Parkway. Full SAG support.
Metric Century - 62 mile
This route is rolling with few more hills offering a more challenging tour and is primarily for intermediate and endurance riders because of its length. This is a long ride so be prepared to start early and arrive back to Golden Valley in time for lunch. Full SAG support.
After your ride refuel and relax with friends and family while eating a delicious lunch provided by D’Amico & Sons. The buffet lunch includes freshly prepared sandwiches, salads, fresh fruit, dessert bars and beverages.
